Meet Kurt Emerson
I write fantasy stories about reluctant heroes, forgotten gods, and quests that begin with burdens too heavy to carry.
I grew up on Tolkien, Dungeons & Dragons, and Choose Your Own Adventure books. I loved maps and monsters, fire-forged friendships, and the weight of prophecies. I never really outgrew it. These days, my writing comes from the same place but seen through older eyes, where choices are messier, consequences sharper, and the path less certain.
Though unpublished, I write out of love for the genre, blending medieval history and mythic storytelling to create immersive worlds for readers who never stopped loving fantasy. My current project, Echoes of the Awakening, is a novel about prophecy, identity, and what happens when the chosen one isn’t sure they want to be.
If you still long for epic quests with a bit more grit—or if you’ve ever traced your finger across a book’s map like it might actually lead somewhere—welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
